### 1. Payment Acceptance (Pay In)
Merchants create payment links via the dashboard or API. Customers pay using:
- **CashApp** ($9.99 — $499.99)

- **Apple Pay** ($9.99 — $199.99, iPhone/iPad/Mac with Safari only)
- **Google Pay** ($9.99 — $499.99)

### 2. Payouts / Settlements (Pay Out)
Merchants can request settlements via:
- **CashApp** — automated via XXPay
- **Chime** — automated via XXPay

### 3. Developer API
REST API with:
- API key authentication (`X-API-Key: lp_live_xxx`)
- Webhooks (signed with HMAC)

- **Admin** creates **Master Merchants** with custom rates
- **Master Merchants** create **sub-users** with rates ≥ their own

## Fee Structure

- **Payin**: `(amount × user_rate) + flat_fee` (default 12% + $0.40, configurable per merchant)
- **Payout**: `amount × payout_rate` (default 6%)
- **Crypto payin**: 2% (NOWPayments)
- **USDT settlement**: $2 flat fee

## How It Works

1. Merchant creates a payment link via API (`POST /api/v1/payin`) or dashboard
2. Customer opens the payment link (`https://legapay.net/pay/{reference}`)
3. Customer clicks "Pay" — checkout opens in a popup
4. Customer completes payment on the payment provider's checkout page
5. Payment provider sends webhook to Lega Pay → status updates instantly
6. Merchant's balance is credited with the net amount (after fee)
7. Customer is auto-redirected to merchant's successUrl

## Security

- MD5 request signing for all payment provider API calls
- IP whitelisting for incoming webhooks
- Webhook signature verification
- Atomic balance operations (SQL UPDATE...RETURNING with balance check)
- Confirmed payments are permanent (cannot revert to failed)
- Screenshots require authentication and ownership verification
- Rate limiting on all critical endpoints
- No hardcoded secrets in source code (all in encrypted env vars)
